Let me just begin by saying Calcite is one of my favorite stones for crystal healing. It is a wonderful chakra stone that has the ability to ignite one's creativity. There are many colors of Calcite that have a wide range of healing attributes. I will begin with a general discribion of Calcite and add the additional healing properties of the color varieties.

Crystal Healing with Calcite

Color-Green, blue, yellow, orange, clear, brown, pink, gray, red

Appearance-Translucent and waxy, often banded

Attributes-Calcite is a powerful stone for crystal healing. It is an amplifier and cleaner of energy. Simply by having Calcite in the room cleans negative energies from the environment and heightens your energy. It cleanses both the physical and subtle bodies clearing stagnant energy. Calcite is an active crystal meaning it speeds development and growth. It is a highly spiritual stone linked to the higher consciousness and facilitates the opening of higher awareness, psychic abilities, channeling, and out of body experiences.

On a psychological level, Calcite provides crystal healing through connecting the emotions with the intellect creating emotional intelligence. It has a positive effect, especially where someone has lost hope or motivation. It aids in becoming more energetic on all levels by combating laziness. Calcite calms the mind, stimulates insights, boosts memory, facilitates knowing which information is important, and helps retain it. It is a highly useful stone for study and gives the ability for one to put ideas into action.

Calcites crystal healing ability to alleviate emotional stress and replace it with serenity is excellent. It enhances trust in oneself, strengthens the ability to overcome setbacks, and is cleansing, balancing, and energizing for the chakras.

Healing-Calcite cleanses the organs of elimination, encourages calcium uptake but dissolves calcifications, strengthens the skeleton and joints, alleviates intestinal and skin conditions, and stimulates blood clotting and tissue healing. It also fortifies the immune system and can encourage growth in small children.

Crystal Healing using Black Calcite

Black Calcite is a record keeper stone for regression and regaining memories so that the past can be released. It returns the soul to the body following trauma or stress. It alleviates depression and is a useful companion during a dark night of the soul.

Blue Calcite

Blue Calcite is a gentle stone for recuperation and relaxation. It lowers the blood pressure, dissolves pain on all levels, soothes the nerves, lifts anxieties, and releases negative emotions. It is a good chakra stone for the throat as it aids clear communication. It can absorb energy, filter it, and return it to benefit the sender.

Clear Calcite

Clear Calcite is known as a cure all. It is a powerful detoxifier. It acts as an antiseptic at the physical level while at the subtle level it cleanses and aligns all the chakras. A Clear Calcite with rainbows brings about major change-it is a stone of new beginnings. It brings the gift of deep soul healing and revitalization of the subtle bodies. Clear Calcite opens and clears the inner and outer eyes.

Gold Calcite

Gold Calcite is an excellent stone for use in meditation and attuning to the higher mental planes. It instills mental alertness as it grounds the higher mental energies into the physical realm. It works best if placed on the navel or crown chakras.

Crystal Healing using Green Calcite

Green Calcite is a powerful mental healer, dissolving rigid beliefs, old programs, and storing balance to the mind. It helps in letting go of things thats are familiar and comforting but no longer serves, aids in the communication and translation from a stagnant to a positive situation. Green Calcite is an excellent stimulator for the immune system, absorbs negativity, and rids the body of bacterial infections.

Green Calcite ameliorates arthritis and constrictions of the ligaments or muscles and is helpful in bone adjustments. Its green ray cools fevers, burns and inflammation, calms the adrenals, and soothes anger generated disease.

Iceland Spar (Optical Calcite)

Iceland Spar amplifies images and heals the eyes. It aids in seeing the double meaning hidden behind words. It is an excellent tension reducer that causes migraines and a cleanser of the subtle bodies.

Orange Calcite

Orange Calcite is a highly energizing and cleansing stone, especially for the lower chakras. It is an excellent stone for activating inner creativity. It balances the emotions, removes fear, overcomes depression, dissolves problems, and maximizes potential. Orange Calcite heals the reproductive system, gallbladder, and intestinal disorders such as IBS (irritable bowel syndrome, and removes mucus from the system.

Pink Calcite (Mangano Calcite)

Pink Calcite provides crystal healing for the heart. It is a stone of forgiveness, it releases fear and grief that keep the heart trapped in the past, bringing in unconditional love. It aids self worth and self acceptance, heals nervous conditions, lifts tension and anxiety, prevents nightmares, dissolves resistance, and is helpful for anyone who has suffered trauma or assault.

Red Calcite

Red Calcite increases energy, uplifts emotions, aids willpower, opens the heart chakra, removes stagnant energy (including constipation), and dissolves blockages. It resonates with the base chakra helping to alleviate fear, bring understanding of the source. It heals hip and lower limb problems, loosening up joints, and on a subtle level, it removes blockages that prevent one from moving forward in life.

Rhomboid Calcite

Rhomboid Calcite closes off mind chatter bringing mental stillness and is a powerful healer of the past.

Yellow Calcite

Yellow Calcite is excellent for stimulating the will. Its energy is uplifting. It enhances meditation, induces a deep state of relaxation and spirituality and links to the highest source of spiritual guidance. Yellow Calcite stimulates the higher mind, has an extremely expansive energy, and is best used on the crown and solar plexus chakras.
